Dalton State hosts second Fresh Check Day for students

Ready, Set, Play.

Fresh Check Day is back at Dalton State with interactive booths such as The Game of LIFE: Dalton State Edition, free food, prizes and resources on Tuesday, April 12, from noon to 3 p.m.

The Game of LIFE: Dalton State Edition is a      life-size adaptation of the popular board game, LIFE, which will feature the quad prepped as the gaming board. Continuing through the game, students will encounter ACTION cards, stop signs and CHOICE cards to make it to "Graduation." Graduating makes you a WINNER!

Fresh Check Day is a program by the Jordan Porco Foundation, an event for colleges that includes interactive booths geared toward promoting good mental health and suicide prevention. This is the second Fresh Check Day hosted at Dalton State.

"We are excited to see students have fun while learning the importance of reaching out when they need help making decisions or figuring out a problem and how it can make a difference in their success in LIFE and at Dalton State,” said Andrea Roberson, director of disability access and student support services.
